Making a disclosure just means letting us know about what's happened. Disclosing doesn't automatically trigger a formal report.
Thank you for making this disclosure. We understand that this can be a difficult thing to do.
You have chosen to disclose something that has happened with your contact details. This means an advisor can get in touch to discuss the support you may want and what you would like to happen next. Disclosing with your contact details does not initiate disciplinary action within the University or a report to the Police, but this is something you may want to discuss or choose to do immediately, or later on.
This disclosure will remain confidential and the information contained in it will only be passed on to relevant and staff members on a strictly need-to-know basis. Please be assured that we will ask you what you want to do, we will listen, we will not make assumptions and we will not act without your consent. However there maybe be some limited situations where confidentiality cannot be kept as detailed in our
Report and Support Privacy Notice for example where your safety or that of others is at risk. Any personal data that you provide us with in your disclosure will be respected and treated in line with our
Data Protection Policy and our
Report and Support Privacy Notice.
An advisor will be in touch with you within 5 days.
